I thought you had to take the jewelry out for surgery… sorry.

I did, but two year old piercings don’t suddenly close up when the jewelry is out for a few days. The skin has healed around the jewelry by that point and so the hole isn’t going anywhere for awhile.

The possibility that you thought piercings remain open wounds around jewelry for years and years scares me.
