But ya know what’s really fucked up?  The fact that they gave custody of a baby to a rapist.

Like maybe I’m wrong but I feel like “child molester” (which this lady was, her victim was 13) and “fit parent” should be MILES separate.  Custody of the infant should have been given to the father, and then he would be allowed to get the infant adopted if he wished (which he well might).

But decisions about the child should NOT be in the hands of a child rapist, jesus and yet dudes talk about the child support not about the fact that the left a baby with a pedophile.  If she hadn’t been given custody, he wouldn’t have had to pay child support.  He should have been automatically granted custody.

Like clearly she should not have been given custody.

That is the answer.  I support child support laws because children need to be supported, that’s it, it’s not about penalizing anyone, it’s about making sure the kid is taken care of, if can be by the state or by the parents, but it needs to get done.

But, I do not support custody of children being given to rapists, ESPECIALLY not rapist pedo or ephebophiles, those are not people who should be allowed near children, let alone to raise children.

Same goes for victims of reproductive coercion.  The coerced party gets to decide who gets the child and can choose to have the kid adopted out.
