Actually the Vikings had dreadlocks so black people didn’t invent the hair style

Vikings had dirty matted ass hair because ancient Europeans were a filthy people who would shit in their drinking water and wonder why they got sick

You’re both wrong.

Vikings bathed like all the damn time. It was one of the reasons for a long time you had people from the rest of Europe seeing them as untrustworthy weirdos. They carried combs on their belts because they put a lot of stock in having orderly and often elaborately braided hair. Sometimes they’d pack the braids with mud to hold them in place in battles (which their opponents, like the COMPLETELY non-bathing Romans) would mistake for dreads, but in peaceful situations they’d immediately clean it out again.

The Vikings didn’t have dreads, but they were also a pretty clean group of people until they were forcibly assimilated into the rest of medieval Europe.

Thank you for laying down some history truth!

Once again no. That’s incorrect. The Romans bathed. They had buildings full of baths, for public usage.

Also Vikings weren’t assimilated.
Norse pagan beliefs had been converted to Christianity during the Dark Ages.
And Nordic influences had been replaced by the Vikings themselves.

Although I will agree that due to the many knightly orders that came to spread Christendom to The Baltic regions, the influence of central medieval Europe wouldn’t have been as severe.

The Teutonic Order, maintained the spread of Christianity in Scandinavia and waged war on the Lithuanians and other Slavic cultures.

Thank you!

The important point still being “no you cannot justify cultural appropriation with something the vikings did not do”

You can use the vikings as an excuse to have a bitchin’ mo’ and wear pants in really loud colors though.
