The other reason not to culturally appropriate black hairstyles:

Dreads, afros, and cornrows on black people: Elegant, regal, glamorous, beautiful, cute, stylish and/or generally nice looking.  

Dreads, afros and cornrows on white people: Something has gone horribly wrong and/or “Why does your scalp look so… angry?”
