Some Tips On How To Navigate Bureaucracy:

  1. Record your conversations for later so you can hold them against the company
  2. If it is a dispute over more than 100 bucks, you need to speak to a manager.  Give no fucks, get that manager.
  3. If customer service continues to give you the runaround and fuck up, go over its head, contact administrative departments. 
  4. Threaten legal action.
  5. Threaten media exposure (contact local media, make story sound dramatic, they’re usually short on news, make sure you sound sane and wholesome and all American and nice)
  6. Record and date and file all phone conversations and email communications.
  7. Remain calm and friendly while threatening them with legal action and negative media attention.
  8. Have all your information ready.
  9. Do NOT get off the phone until it is resolved.  Escalate as often as needed, hold as often as needed, stay on the phone while peeing.
  10. Do not get mad at the employee, it is not their fault.  You do not want to get them fired, you just want to sneak around their boss’s evil nightmare system.
