Talking points for debating anarcho-capitalists

post-teenager:

  • Yes, capitalism is coercive. Wage slavery results organically in any capitalist system as the wealthy and corporations exploit the basic survival needs of workers to leverage down the price of labor. Indeed, traditional slavery and indentured servitude are entirely compatible with a capitalist system, insofar as these arrangements benefit the bosses.
  • Capitalism is colonial- All natural property (land, resources) was originally claimed and maintained by an initiation of force. These acts of aggression is one that has vastly benefited colonialists, at the expense of native peoples.
  • Capitalism is racist, hetero-normative, ableist, misogynistic, etc… The free market did nothing to stop the exclusion of people of color from basic accommodations in the American south post-Brown v. Board of Education. More recently, Chick-fil-A saw record sales after it was revealed that it’s CEO had made homophobic comments, and the company itself donated millions to anti-LGBT hate groups.
  • Capitalism is inefficient. In the case of education, healthcare, infrastructure, consumer safety and the like, privatization has proven to be incredibly inefficient in distributing resources, and very poor at keeping costs low.
  • Capitalism is feudal. The inequality created by capitalism damages democracy, allowing corporate plutocrats and wealthy oligarchs to subvert the will of the people.
  • Capitalism is unsustainable- The ecological destruction committed against the environment in the name of profit by capitalists will leave a grim reality for future generations.

Also wage labor encourages laziness, syndicalism encourages hard work
