Like no one is like “the manufacturing of ball bearings will cease after the revolution”  ”There will be no plumbers after the revolution” “There will be no cleaners after the revolution” (like they’d probably mostly be there for disabled folks, and public spaces, and get paid a fuck load more, but they’d exist) but the second it’s sex work, it’s like “Woah, woah, woah now, that’s gross and exploitive” and I’m like “…a lot of us see people who are disabled or have other special needs, like there will be more women coming to see us, but I don’t think the revolution will end sex work, just end sex work not done by choice…

sex work predates capitalism but don’t tell that to most activists, they’ll just turn away their attention from that reality…

I know, right?  Like that shit goes back to primitive communism.  Like sometimes people need a relationship that’s all about them, you pay a therapist to listen to you without you having to do the emotional labor of listening to and supporting them.  You pay an escort to satisfy a sexual urge without having to do the emotional or sexual labor of pleasing them.
