And I’m just like “Logan Echolls paid homeless people to fight” “Logan Echolls staged ILLEGAL FIGHTS BETWEEN HOMELESS PEOPLE” “Logan ECHOLLS STAGED FUCKING ILLEGAL FIGHTS BETWEEN HOMELESS PEOPLE”
HOW THE FUCK DO PEOPLE FORGET THIS?”

He’s not a “Bad boy” he’s a violent, entitled little piece of shit with no conscience.

Being with him kinda killed Veronica’s likeability to me… like if “paid homeless people to fight for their entertainment” isn’t a complete turn off for you, then fuck you

Logan could stage fights between homeless people for money because he was a severely depressed, abused kid who had normalized violence and grew up in a household where money and perception of power were king.

I certainly don’t forget that Logan did these things. I simply watched that very same episode where he realized he was using money and violence to manipulate people just like his father did and he despised himself for it. And then began to change because of it because he does have a conscience.

(He even redirected that manipulation of power to punish someone who truly deserved it, his father. A very vengeful and very Veronica thing to do.)

You’re right, he’s not a “bad boy”, he was a self loathing, suicidal kid who was really hurt, severely damaged and very angry. And then he changed. Slowly and yes, maintaining some unhealthy tendencies for sure, but he evolved and grew and had a character arch. He developed.

(If you don’t think a character or I’ll be frank, a person in general, can change, especially in the 12 years it took for Logan to go from ‘bum fights’ to naval aviator, then that’s a sad commentary.)

He staged the ‘bum fights’ in episode 2 (16 episodes before he and Veronica were shown contemplating a relationship). Veronica didn’t get together with Logan when he was that guy, nor would I have wanted her to, but it certainly doesn’t mean I don’t think they complimented each other.

Veronica herself is a damaged character. She is also caustic, hypocritical, and happy to use violence and manipulation casually when it suits her needs. (She even happened to pay a homeless person to search through a dumpster to find a keister egg and that was 3 years later.) She’s not a woman without her faults. And yes, I do think his compliment hers.

It’s a noir world. If the characters are not dark and twisted and striving to find out their ‘grey area’ thresholds, then they don’t belong on the show and they certainly don’t belong with Veronica.

So I politely say no thank you to your ‘fuck you’.

You don’t come back from “paying homeless people to fight” or getting violent with your girlfriend.  He starts an entitled douche (with a shitty, fucked up family life) and ends an entitled douche.

Veronica has faults, many many faults, but she also has a certain… sense of honor, and a decency Logan utterly lacks, he’s a violent shitheel.  I’ve been with dudes like that, they do not change, and of course he became a fucking naval aviator because he’s a violent sadistic piece of shit, which is literally the only reason for a rich kid to join the army during any period where the country isn’t in a war of defense.
