If I can’t find the creature comforts and familiar things I like most somewhere else, I’m not gonna have a lot to cushion the blow of losing everything else I have in CA too like the weather, my sister, my favorite places to go, friends, etc. That’s all.
You can find good Mexican food throughout most of the southwest, and honestly, the Mexican food throughout the country isn’t actually terrible. And my mortgage on a two bedroom condo (that is gorgeous and has a dishwasher and a garbage disposal) is like 600 bucks. Which is amazing. I was paying more than twice that in rent in New York.
Also come visit Rhode Island (whatever people are yelling you about it is mostly lies, it’s actually nice)
