Sex workers just want you to understand that:

1. We do this for money, not liberation or empowerment or anything else. Money.

2. We deserve rights and protection just like any other worker.

3. You hurt both victims and consensual workers when you imply that we’re ALL forced to do this by anything other than circumstance.

4. We DO NOT sell our bodies, we sell a service.

That’s it. That’s the basis of every argument about sex workers’ rights that I’ve ever had on Tumblr dot com and in real life. Learn this, because we live it. 

We’re workers.  We’re just freaking workers.  Why is that so impossible for people to grasp?  Like people see “sex” in sex work and stop reading.
