Everyone should have the right to control of their appearance
I thought I had seen the worst this site had to offer, but every day y’all manage to surprise me
Hey, people deserve the right to look how they want. It’s not actually a huge expenditure of resources
Because how people “want” to look isn’t at all influenced by a culture which demeans and demoralizes women by making their bodies into projects which can never be completed? Because how people “want” to look isn’t founded in a blatantly racist society which presents a singular image of white ‘beauty’ which every woman, but especially non-white women, has to nearly kill and bankrupt themselves to attain? Because how people “want” to look isn’t due to a culture which hates non-white features… unless of course they are artificially reproduced on white bodies? Because how people “want” to look isn’t overseen and preplanned by hoards of white male-dominated conglomerates?
I really could not give a single fuck about the “revolution” that white men and women imagine where women’s bodies are controlled as commodities to an even greater extent, all because some white woman wants breast implants and doesn’t have lips. If your idea of a “revolution” is appealing to every single misogynistic repressive ideal in our culture, and taking it to an even more extreme level, then you can fuck right off. White liberal feminism is a cancer.
Says the feminist reading:
strong curves: a woman’s guide to building a better butt and body by bret contreras & kellie davis
Curly Girl: The Handbook by Lorraine Massey
Sounds like you’re totally in favor of “performative femininity” as long as it’s the way you believe it should be performed.
I’m talking about shit like brow ridge implants and tongue forking. People should look whatever weird way they want to. Part of the revolution is abolishing patriarchal white supremacist beauty standards.
Duh.
Yeah a book about weight training, and another about dealing with non-white hair? You just reinforced exactly what I said about white homogeneity and white liberal feminism, and failed to respond to any other part. You had to look at books on my blog instead of examining your statements in any sort of cultural context or taking responsibility for your misogynistic, racist comments. Yeah I’m sure “plastic surgery will be made broadly available” is exclusively to ‘alternative’ looks and nothing to do with what people “want” to look like based on patriarchal standards.
White liberal feminists on here will reblog the required ‘racism’ posts and wax poetic nonsense to make them look like ‘good’ feminists so they can spew whatever shit they like under the guise of being ‘knowledgeable and accepting’, and once you expose the underlying misogynistic and racist currents of their words and actions, they expose themselves in full force. This site is a joke.
A book on non-white hair with white models for two of the three models on the cover, written by two women who are as far as I can tell white (googled the authors, one is definitely white, the other I can’t definitely say as I can’t find a photo that’s definitely attributed as her, but google image search for her name turns up only photos of white women)?
And a book on weight training focused on achieving a patriarchally acceptable body shape?
And again, if the revolution doesn’t involve dismantling racist/patriarchal notions of beauty then it’s not much of a revolution, is it?
Like if the revolution doesn’t destroy white supremacist beauty standards, along with white supremacy, what business has it calling itself a revolution… like the condition of “after the revolution” inherently at least if you ask me, denotes a time after the dismantling of patriarchy and white supremacy, if patriarchy and white supremacy and other oppressive bullshit is abolished, then logically the beauty standards they create as part of their system of control must be abolished, and so… yeah, after the revolution refers to a state after these things have been dismantled.
Otherwise it’s not the revolution I’m talking about
