Burlesque Dancers Calling Themselves Sex Workers

Historical burlesque dancers were interchangeable with strippers, and so you need to acknowledge that while you, yourself, are not a sex worker, that the history of burlesque is the history of sex workers.  You can show solidarity, but you are not sex workers.
