‘sex work’ equates a woman’s body and autonomy with a hamburger, or a bale of hay, or any other object or service being sold. this is one reason why the support society has for porn, stripping and prostitution is testament to the hatred they have for females. connect the fucking dots.

I love how radical feminists compare us to meat and objects more than anyone else ever has in my entire life.

It’s so funny how massaging someone’s back is ok but massaging their dicks means we have no autonomy.

also how DARE we ask others to use a term we prefer. A+ for mocking us on that.

“Sex work” is empowering. They are not being sold, they are working, just like people in every other profession.

I know you’re trying to help but please just stop with the empowerment bullshit. Maybe it’s empowering on a personal basis fr some people, but I do it because it pays, and I find it neutral-to-totally-disempowering (Altho escorting is much more empowering than stripping but I still wouldn’t call it empowering) and I’m sick of civilians and idiot sex pozzies using the same reductive bs language as the prohibitionists

^

Also like are massage therapists a testament to our hatred of… people who give massages?  They’re selling a service that involves the body and making someone feel good, but because it’s not *sexual* it’s somehow magically totally different.

My work isn’t empowering, it pays the bills.  Work isn’t empowering because labor under capitalism is exploitative by nature, but that said sex work isn’t inherently any more exploitive than anything else.
