Joe is not a capitalist. He’s a dictator. Sure he hogs all of the water, food, and fuel, but we don’t know how or if he distributed them. He doesn’t run a business. In fact, as…

1. Statist communism is not communism.

2. Selling your labour to survive (wage slave) is a default part of capitalism, by design, or else the people “doing what they love” and owning firms wouldn’t have anyone to work in them.

Your key flaw is you think that everyone can win in capitalism. That is not how it works. For there to be winners, there have to be losers. It is all a (rigged) competition, and some of us think our humanity is worth more than that.

Actual communism would be co operative, with workers sharing the instruments of production, to work for the greater good. It’s been proven in behavioural science that socialisation motivates us more than wages. Capitalism requires making things designed to break to ensure continuous consumption. Capitalism ensures that those who own capital and are rich will stay rich off the backs of labourers who will never reach that. Capitalism is not a ladder it’s a pile: only very few can be at the top, and everyone else must be crushed supporting them.

Communism says fuck the pile, let’s all start building.

Capitalism doesn’t require things to break. I have a Jansport backpack that has lasted my from 4th grade to sophomore year in college. That company makes insanely tough everyday bags for a very reasonable price, and yet they seem to be doing fine in business. I see their bags everywhere BECAUSE they last long. People buy a Jansport and they don’t have to replace it. They’re so good that a lot of people buy their bags, and some people buy multiple bags for different purposes. But I’m ALLOWED to buy a Jansport. Under communism, if I wanted go buy a military-grade bag instead, I might not be permitted by the government to. And by your logic, I wouldn’t have to work to buy that bag. Working for a company is like slavery, so I get to stay at home and chill all day. No. Why should anyone but me benefit from my work? I understand the bare minimum – food stamps, medical care, all that. People should have a chance to get back on their feet when they get knocked down financially. But I refuse to support a system that doesn’t reward my work and effort more than someone who slacks off.

Communism means there is no government and probably very little military if any
