The idea that the societal issues with power structures go away just because you stop saying “dominant” and “submissive” while doing all the same shit is just… goofy, and the idea that somehow this causes society to be what it is, rather than being symptomatic of society being what it is is just bull
With the bdsm debate, i dont understand what they want in terms of how to handle bdsm. I mean?? Do they just want to keep it closeted and never talked about ever again?? Which is?? Kind of impossible because its a hot button issue?? I dont think the solution is to just stop “expressing” it. Idk. I think they have some issues on what they even want to happen there, theres no mission statement. .-.
