I also think people just hate it when sex workers talk about boring stuff like labour issues. “What? Unionising? Nonono, I wanna hear about the biggest dick you’ve ever seen, don’t be boring” or alternatively “please give me all the horrid details about how you turned into a traumatised victim but not how for example having employee status or not being criminalised would have prevented some or all of it”.

Which is just another aspect of the Prostitute Imaginary and the whole performing sexy and how civilians, even when they flatter themselves to be so enlightened, still expect a performance.

I have been with my fair share of ‘Ladies of the Night’ and I believe that they were all outstanding women doing their job. I had plenty of enlightened, and somewhat inebriated conversations with them about every potential topic. The problem with people is that they need to objectify the lady to feel morally superior, vice see her as an equal.

OMG this is so block-worthy but also so fucking hilarious. LADIES OF THE NIGHT, I am fucking screaming. The delusion at play here, it’s amazing. Clients are amazing.

Non-sex workers never have anything useful to contribute to conversations about sex work no matter how well meaning
