omfg this is so simplistic. I hate tumblr’s idea of dating like, there are so many reasons people cheat. Sometimes because of trauma (miscarriage, death of a loved one, loss of job/community status, perceived emotional neglect), sometimes because of drug/alcohol use (and addiction tbh), sometimes because of manic episodes, or because of poor impulse control (which is common in BPD), sometimes because of poor self esteem such as BPD, like a slew of reasons. You don’t know people’s life. This is so simplistic and idk really apparent a lot of people on this site are incredibly immature emotionally (or haven’t had much life experience). Apparently 700k people agree tho.
The fuck are you talking about, lilitharcane? There is a reason for everything, that doesn’t excuse it. Literally all that shit you listed as reasons for a person to cheat are also reasons a person might beat the shit out of their partner. And while that may be true, they are both completely inappropriate (though cheating to a much lesser degree) ways of expressing those things. You lost your job? Talk to your partner, don’t cheat. You feel neglected? Talk to your partner…or even break up with them. Don’t cheat. You’re going through a period of emotional stress? Talk to a therapist, a family member, your partner, a friend. Don’t cheat. You have low self esteem and someone makes you feel good? Go talk to your partner about it and what to do about that, like potentially opening up the relationship. Don’t cheat.
Reasons do not excuse behavior. It really is that simple.
Ah yes, please tell me, as someone who has both been cheated on and literally had my face punched in on such a regular basis that I was skipping work and was frequently getting suspended from my job, that they’re similar. I don’t care if you said to a lesser degree, YOU CANT COMPARE THOSE. you are DIRECTLY hurting someone by beating them. you are INDIRECTLY hurting someone by cheating on them, unless it’s used as an abusive/control tactic. I’ve been stuck in relationships, and so have most of my friends, because you have a lIFE together, bills, finances, leases you can’t break, CHILDREN, extended family, ect. Not everyone can afford a therapist, do you realize that impulse control and mania isn’t something you talk about, you just do it then talk, that’s why it’s fucking MANIA jesus fucking christ. Besides that there’s so much stigma related to mental illness, especially ones beyond anxiety and depression. SO good luck finding someone who doesn’t judge.

I’m not sure why you’re sidestepping to everything except the point you’ve been called out on, but I’m totally willing to address everything you mentioned.
One: I always wear condoms. Period. I take responsibility for myself. So none of what you’re saying makes sense. As for the rape by deception bit, you are literally excusing rape by deception (lying about BC status) in your argument. Unless of course you believe that rape can only be carried out by a man against a woman in which case, you’re the worst sort of rape apologist.
And if I see those receipts I’m more than willing to accept and support those facts. But people are way to happy to accept facts out of convenience than research,
And yep, I was looking for an argument, I thought you might attempt to back up what you were saying about how cheating is okay, but you just attacked me, which is pretty creepy.
