Is it problematic to think that limiting the amount of abortions by increasing sex ed, various kinds of birth control, and emergency contraceptives would be a good thing?

prochoice-or-gtfo:

No, not unless you’re proposing banning people from having abortions after a certain number or banning them outright due to availability of birth control, emergency contraceptives and comprehensive sex ed. Pro-choicers don’t want abortion rates to be high. We want abortion to be an available option to all, but decreasing them as much as possible by eliminating unwanted pregnancies is absolutely a goal.

Also like reducing the number of abortions also means reducing the number of people who have to get novocaine injected into their cervix, it’s not terrible, but like it’s not pleasant so like reducing the number of people who need abortions is kinda desirable overall
