I saw your ‘fuck respectability’ post and thought maybe you would understand a pet peeve I had, namely that so many people in BDSM culture like to trot out statistics that say people who are into BDSM are more likely to be college educated and higher paid. I don’t know why but it feels like in the process of trying to make BDSM respectable and accepted, they kind of throw other types of people under the bus by going “Well I have FIVE DEGREES and get paid SIX figures so it’s okay for me to do it”
