That adult women calling their dads daddy is now icky.
Then again an adult man calling his mother mommy is also fucking icky.
So IDK
I don’t think it is “icky” for an adult woman to call her father Daddy. In the south MOST women, if not all of us, refer to our actual father’s as Daddy, and the father’s of our children as Daddy. Maybe it is a cultural thing.
I hear it and I just think “Daddy kink”.
I call my dad padre, pops, da, pater, pa or dadums.
My mum, mama-lama, mumsy, mumsy-wumsy, mater, or ma.
My mom’s Texan and she always calls her dad papa, or padre, or dad
I totally get that and understand, but most of my friends (who are mid 30′s) still refer to their father’s as Daddy and it’s 100% culturally accepted here. I call my father that, and in no way does it make me personally feel weird but that’s a personal thing.
Within the kink community I do think it’s fucked up that names like that are causing girls (young girls) to feel awkward saying that to their fathers.
Yeah basically, now I’m curious if that’s throughout the south or a particular region cause I’ve never heard it from my Texan or Mississippian family. I think maybe one of the North Carolina half cousins uses that for her dad, but I haven’t seen her in years.
