and like ??? you can use it to do anything, round your face out, make it look squarer or triangular or anything, you can use it to make it look like you broke your nose, or have a straighter one, a broader or narrower one, you’re limited only by culture and creativity.  Use it in non-traditional ways, do old age makeup, make yourself look like a picasso painting, you can use those same shade and highlight technique to drastically alter your appearance in ways utterly unrelated to traditional attractiveness

Right, like “standard” contouring is racist as fuck and also boring, but the techniques can be used for so much other stuff so…   

I think what’s really sad is living in a society where people are pushed into such a narrow mold that a tool like contouring gets used in such a standardizing boring way
