But…we DO teach drivers not to hit people? 

And if someone intentionally hits someone else with their car, we would never argue that the pedestrian should have been more careful.  

The only reason you might even consider blaming a pedestrian for getting hit is if they were hit ON ACCIDENT. And you can’t accidentally rape someone. 

I think there are cases of negligent rape (where someone is drunk or similarly unable to give true consent and the perpetrator doesn’t check thoroughly enough that they’re in a state to give consent) but EVEN THEN that’s negligence, and guess what?  We still prosecute negligence when it hurts somebody.
