You know a lot of 19th century artists mostly used models who were sex workers

When did that stop? Now people only make art of us to show how sad we are.

We should start an art movement that’s just sex workers drawing each other regardless of artistic ability

It’s really weird, isn’t it? For a long time, sex workers were the only ones willing to pose nude so that’s who artists approached and now it’s everyone’s game and in fact people are encouraged to pose nude really as long as it’s Classy and Not Like a Whore, even comparing this to classic paintings, it’s ironic.

Classy is always what sex workers were doing 30 years ago or more, like makeup, shaved legs, burlesque, bare pubes, all ours

Right, I was about to say, burlesque is classy now!! And pin up too. I wonder if they had models for those statues of Greek and Roman goddesses and if so, how they were treated.

Thanks for sex workers! ♡ I love make up, shaved legs, bare pubes etc. without those girls the world would be a ugly hairy place. this is what they need to say in commercials in stead of girls smiling while they are shaving there already shaved legs.

I mean I’m all for people shaving as much or as little as they want, but it is weird how we do it, muggle women imitate us to be daring and suddenly it’s the standard

The problem is that they not only use it for their own pleasure, but then literally turn around and blame us for “unrealistic beauty standards”.

This is my finial thesis for school actually. The subject is really interesting.

Also a lot of sex workers started shaving to try and cut down on the amount of STD’s and lice. Like pubic lice was a fucking bitch. Like it was more for sanitary reasons than for “beauty standards”. Egyptians use to cut all of their body hair off for sanitary, religious, and beauty reasons

Yeah, I know, in the 19th c body hair was considered erotic and so they often wore pubic wigs. Later on sex workers started shaving so they could wear less without violating obscenity laws that mandated that one could not show pubic hair
