:^) sounds like someone needs to buy some salt remover.
this is the best example of “i am uncomfortable when we are not about me” i have ever seen
Like ok, male privilege is unquestionably a thing, but like stigmatized manhoods are a thing, where manhood is an inextricable part of how their oppression works. Black men still have male privilege, but also their manhood is linked to how their oppression functions. Same with GNC men and so on. Their manhood is reflected in the way society treats them. Like there is a specific way black men are sexually objectified. There are specific ways GNC men are mistreated.
I don’t think positivity posts directed at boys are necessarily undermining to positivity for girls, but I also think that praising manhood in general is questionable
It’s not questionable. There’s nothing inherently wrong with being masculine. There’s nothing inherently wrong with being feminine.
But that’s literally not the point of the post. The point of the post is to make boys, regardless of what kind of boy, feel good. So………………. yeah.
Though also now that I think of it, while there’s nothing inherently wrong with most of the shit society labels masculine. I think that the concepts of masculinity and femininity are nonsense. Like why does an interest in cooking relate to an interest in fashion? Why does woodworking correlate to barbecuing which is just cooking outside? They don’t correlate, they’re just random traits we threw together and decided meant something and related somehow to gender. Abolish the idea that woodworking is connected to sports. Abolish the idea that makeup is related to romance novels.
