Like fucking awful. People can and do change over time. I’m a dramatically different person from who I was ten or even two years ago.
Which is not to say I’m currently perfect. I’m still developing lord knows, but yeah.
I’m completely with you. My political view is in a constant state of flux as I learn more, and I know I have a hell of a lot more to learn!
My personal policy when it comes to politics is to stay out of it. I try not to take a part in voting or supporting a political canadite or even a side. I will comment on what politics is happening at the moment, but going any further is out of the question. Think of it more as a “I will voice an opinion, but never act on it”
Why do I do this you ask? I actually got to meet a famous politician once. You know how all politicians try to make themselves look nice and friendly and open and considerate?
Its complete bullshit. The man was rude, inconsiderate, and a jerk.
So take it from uncle Towers kids… politicians may look nice, but
I’m a revolutionary communist. My political opinion is that we should abolish politicians (along with capitalism and the state) and replace them with self organized collectives so like… yeah
“Uncle Towers” is a fucking idiot. If you don’t vote, your opinion on politics is void and unwanted. Fucking do something about it, rather than “I will voice an opinion but never act on it”.
Just so we’re clear, I do vote, but I think involvement with electoral politics is largely a waste of time.
That said “I will voice an opinion but never act on it” is a fucking terrible plan, and electoral politics are far from the only political action or activity one can take part in.
