I was just like ????? skimming though it because a lot of the facts are just being manipulated to be true. Like yeah the death rate in America isn’t as high as other countries but of all “developed” nations, the gun violence and death rates are insane! There is just no reason to have figures that high when you guys aren’t going through like a damn civil war or complete lawlessness in the streets. Georgia, The Philippines, Chile, Argentina are all countries that don’t have as high rates as America and have all had recent civil conflicts. Like the gun death rate in America is nearly as bad as Mexico and they literally have a corrupted government that’s abusing the people like what on eaarrrrrth…….?
Not to mention the mass shootings like there is no excuse to own a gun aside from the fact you want to fuck something up!!!!!!!!!!gun advocates never wanna talk about mass shootings like lmao they go so quiet when you bring that up
I’m a leftist, and a gun owner, and the culture of violence in this country is ridiculous. I think it’s not merely the fact that we have guns, New Zealand for example has more guns per capita than we do and nowhere near the gun violence rate we have. I think it’s a mixture of the toxic masculinity of American culture and a gun culture that preys on fear and racial animus.
We have a LOT of hand gun owners, and a handgun is good for literally nothing but killing people.
A rifle, you can use that to hunt, they’re the ones that are actually fun for target shooting with and they’re hard to conceal on your person.
We also have no obligation to learn how to use a gun when you buy a gun which is ridiculous. You can’t buy a car without knowing how to use a car, and knowing how to safely store a car.
