I think they’re classic liberals, who support imperialism
Also, they very much support humanocentrism and would more than likely be in favor of an authoritarian democracy, the chancellor being a benevolent dictator and the Gaalactic Senate acting like a politburo
In a way, they are no more than social democrats, who, while looking to overthrow the Empire, are not looking to dramatically change the system. They are radical reformists.
Doesn’t seem to have worked out for them very well, by the time The Force Awakens happens.
Though I’m not clear on what the system was like under the republic, like Amadala was an elected queen, so like what was even going on?
