When I’ve said multiple times I want to abolish government entirely and believe that the revolution will likely require violent insurrection.

I wasn’t advocating a ban on handguns even if I think if you’re going to carry publicly that carrying a handgun rather than a rifle is wussing out.

Like I mean obviously the fact that I won’t have them in the house means I want them banned, just like I clearly would love to ban cilantro because it tastes like fucking soap.

OK so I’m feeling op. Cilantro has no purpose in our society. Spices are not necessary to a community. But I don’t like the idea of anyone but the government having the guns.. Especially people mentioning violent insurrection.

I don’t think a violent revolution as most people imagine it would work; first the majority have to understand the value of freedom from capitalism, else it (capitalism) will just be rebuilt and emulated post-revolution.

I don’t think guns (without a cohesive army) are valuable against the government, and at the point where you are planning revolution what do gun control *laws* even matter? It’s not the same as everyday life, which is FAR safer sans guns.

Alrighty:

1. There are places where there are significantly more guns per capita that have less gun violence than the US (New Zealand for example)

2. Well yeah you need a cohesive guerilla organization (now is obviously not the historical moment).

3. You don’t need a majority, you need about a third of the population minimum, because there will always be about a third that doesn’t really give that much of a shit and will go with whoever seems to have their shit together (that has to be you)

4. You realize that for people living in rural poverty hunting is how they get the majority of their protein and it’s a shitty bougie ass position to try and take that away from them

5. Insurgencies have repeatedly worked throughout history if you have enough popular support, so like???
