What do you think would happen in a society that was basically capitalism except instead of getting what you “earned” (or stole in the case of capitalists) it was sort of like secret Santa where your income supports a totally random other person, but then also you’re introduced to the person your income supports and get updates on their condition and stuff so you have to watch them suffer if you don’t do what capitalism wants.  On the other hand like you might watch your random person live a way more pleasant life than you… IDK.  I feel like it’d be really really dystopian.
