Like there are a bunch of Leninists whose politics rotate around the events of the Soviet Union’s history, which is, at best, a pointless exercise (and often goes hand in hand with other shitty tendencies). But that’s not confined to Leninists and if your major issue with Leninists is how you think they’re going to act in a revolution that will occur 20, 30 years from now, then what the fuck is your deal
Like I understand disliking Trots because Trots have a current ideology which leans towards parliamentarianism and “oh we need to make this a big event so we can report it as a success in our newspaper [regardless of whether inviting 20 different groups to an event will help it serve its purpose]”, but like idk, Leninism has a lot of variation in it, as does anarchism, and in terms of the right now I’d far rather associate with a non-LARPy trans Leninist than a transphobic anarchist.
