Would be INCREDIBLY fast. Given that a league is 21 miles, and one can take about 100 steps per minute at moderate intensity, one would be traveling about 126,000 miles an hour
Which only seems to prove that’s not how they function (if in this hypothesis, they exist and work, but those physics would kill you (and immunity to the effects of physics would also theoretically render you a landscape-cleaving immortal juggernaut)).
But if you’re traveling, not teleporting, then you’re probably doing some magical bullshit like slipping through liminal spaces rapidly. Which sounds like a blurring, whorling, nausea-inducing fuckstorm.
And fairies are ALL about gifts that are actually total bullshit. They think it’s funny, because they’re beautiful, chaotic assholes.
