The community work the Black Panthers and other organizations did meant the militant rhetoric of what they wanted to have done (revolution) found support. When Panthers were pursued by police the community would help shelter and hide them. 

This I think is what I agree with certain Leninists and Maoists the most with. Unless you’re serving the community around you, which includes many leftists probably even you yourself have need for that, you’ll find little support for anything you’re doing.

Many bougie fucks love cops because they feel like the police are helping them in some way. Shatter that illusion by helping your friends, people you don’t know, people you hate, people you’ve never met before, survive. I think you’d hear a lot less about ‘destructive anarchists’ or ‘violent marxists’ if that’s what we were doing.

I can vouch that it is legit helping people out that helps get people to stand with you
