She’s a sex worker. Brothers during WWII in France were flourishing. They were getting paid exorbitant amounts of money and even being given art stolen from Jews during this time. After the French targeted brothels and shaved their heads as punishment.
The people pursuing sex workers to punish them (and rape victims… and women who’d been trying not to starve) were often collaborators trying to take attention away from their own behavior.
@ all the people going on about how she deserved what she got because she fucked a Nazi: it’s nice that you would rather starve or be killed than fuck someone who’s part of an army that has successfully invaded your country, but maybe try having empathy??
That shit is so fucking evil… and like TBH it’s not like she fed them or gave them information, the mob didn’t generally go after *that* sort of collaborator… only the vulnerable and often desperate women who fucked them.
