Okay, I know yall only drag your asses to a tv show when there’re lesbians involved, BUT HEAR ME OUT ON THIS ONE.
There’s this show called Sweet/Vicious that’s basicly about a girl who’s in UNI and she was molested, so she turned herself into a fucking ninja to go after all the guys on campus that raped girls and got away with it.
She then meets this green haired girl that’ll become your fav in no time at all, who’s potentially bisexual.
The show approches the issue from the victim point of view and it does so beautifuly, respectfully, but it’s also a comedy which makes things lighter. It helps you to understand a little bit what a survivor goes through, but in a way that’s not too heavy or too dark. It’s girls looking up for girls essentially.
It was first aired on november, 2016 so it has only 6 episodes so far and they’re all GOLDEN MATERIAL.
YALL NEED TO CHECK IT OUT AND MAKE THIS GODDAMN MASTERPIECE FAMOUS. We live in a society that pities rapists and blame victims for how they dress. WE NEED THIS SHOW. So please, PLEASE, watch it, share it, comment on it. Make it keep going.
There’re more girls out there than I’d like to think that went through this or knows someone who did and they need this representation. Those who thankfully never had to deal with sexual assault need to be taught how to help someone, how to protect themselves, what to do to avoid this crime to happen in the first place.
More importantly, survivors need to know that there’s a way out. They need to know that they can have their lifes back. They need to know that they can carry on.
