Some Roleplay Ideas

MC is essentially a male “femme fatale” hired to seduce and get information about YC who’s like IDK a private eye or some kind of vigilante or generally a problem for crime in the city.  MC of course falls in love.  Maybe MC and YC were friends as kids or something.

A Classic Gothic:
So I really enjoyed Crimson Peak and The Woman in Black and I’d really like to do something inspired by those and the classic 1960s gothic romances (look up the covers, they’re amazing).  I’d like to do something where maybe our boys end up in a spooky old manor in a spooky place together (gothics always have a strong sense of place, like Crimson Peak in Crimson Peak or the marsh in The Woman In Black) and the decay of the house is a metaphor for the internal moral decay of the family’s souls or what have you, and expose the house’s dark secrets.  Or maybe MC is a resident of the house, and calls in YC, but MC is actually bound to dark forces (associated with the dark secret of the house) and is supposed to seduce and eventually betray your dude (I’m thinking my dude would be mostly top, but would look and in many ways act the part of the traditional gothic heroine, so y’ know, white nightie and all).

Basically I don’t have this one too fleshed out, but spooky house, sense of place, daaaark secrets, floaty white negligees!  We can flesh it out together and it’ll be fun.

Cool Rider/You’re The One That I Want:
So I was watching musical numbers from Grease and Grease 2 because I just was, stop judging me.  Anyway I had a pair of related vague little story seeds appropriate to a variety of settings.  As always I love girly tops on manly bottoms.
1. YC is a uke leaning seke, who’s experienced and kinky, and wild. MC who’s a shy goody two shoes type, but a seme (or well will be one when brought out of his shell) is in love with him, and YC returns his feelings but is fairly sure MC can’t be the top he needs, but agrees to try and teach him when he asks.  My guy goes from buttoned up and professorial to sinfully androgynous and dom as hell.

2. MC is a kinky experienced wild type seme leaning seke, YC is a buttoned up prim and proper sort, who wants him desperately.  Can he make himself into the sort of guy MC would consider going out with?  MC is pretty and fem but known for his toughness and preference for topping the wildest, coolest, most badass dudes he can get his hands on.

So this is a dark circus/cabaret themed idea.  I’m feeling inspired by Estella from Great expectations, something wicked this way comes, and Emilie Autumn (like a lot). I was thinking of setting it in a sort of dark gothic pseudo victorian pseudo England where everything is weird and dream like and so on (refer to mood board).I was thinking so it starts with my guy the innocent partner of your guy.  My guy was a dreamy romantic.  Your guy was relatively experienced and quite kinky.  They met maybe as kids in the same troupe or at some kind of royal academy. They were partners in an act (perhaps aerialists) I’m thinking your guy somehow managed to break the fuck out of my guy’s heart (perhaps my guy thinks they’re more than just fucking, or are exclusive and like they never talked about it, and yeah or like they’re not fucking but my guy’s been in love with yours for years, and he overhears him saying something like “Oh not him, he’s way too innocent” or something of the like, or maybe your guy thinks he’s taking advantage of mine so he just leaves the troupe one night and mine wakes up to find him gone, perhaps missing an explanatory note,  perhaps an unfortunate series of overheard comments and coincidences convince my guy that your guy thinks he’s dead weight and he runs off or maybe your guy gets in with a bad crowd and has  to run off or intentionally breaks my guy’s heart because he thinks he’s bad for him or something like that, or someone who wants one of them breaks them up by talking shit about your guy to my guy which we could use as a plot point later)

ANYWAY we can either roleplay that bit or just have it as backstory, so after that happens the heartbreak makes my guy UTTERLY dedicated to reaching the top of his career, and becoming as far from innocent as humanly possible. An inspired dye job, some revamping of image, a name change and courting media attention at every turn makes him an icon. He’s the top of the top,having wild orgiastic sex with the beautiful people, the talk of the town (which may have involved making some deal magical or mundane that leaves him beholden to someone), meanwhile your guy maybe left for another country, has made good over there (but could be under somebody’s thumb, owe people favors etc). Anyway he comes back to town, and my guy is determined to seduce your guy, and show him just how wrong he was, perhaps also if he made a deal with someone or something, they/it could want him to seduce your guy and then perhaps emotionally destroy him for reasons of his own.  Perhaps if your guy also has shadowy interests they want him to get close to my guy so that they can idk end up with him also in their troupe or thrall or something and have sent him back so that they’re thrown together or something like that.  Alternatively maybe your guy’s been touring with mid level companies but gets recruited by my guys troupe again after my guy happens to catch him performing.

Basically my guy wants your guy under his thumb so he can break him.  I like the idea of my guy having made a deal with some evil entity, because even when he realizes he no longer wants to break your guy’s heart he has this obligation and we can cause drama.  My guy’s quite femme, but very dominant, ideally your guy would be more “seme-y” looking and more prone to wearing men’s clothes but still pretty.

God Save Us From The Queen:
MC is a crossdressing… essentially he’s an evil queen, who tortures the toughest men in the kingdom because of a prophecy he’s misread (basically his one true love will end his cruel reign, and help him unite 9 kingdoms, he thinks the true love will help him unite 9 kingdoms, though he doesn’t believe in true love and that there’s another man who will be his downfall.  The prophecy states that the truth will come out in the dungeon).  YC is a heroic type who’s maybe captured, maybe volunteers and slowly YC and MC fall in love and MC’s defenses begin to drop.

Something Set During A Leftist Revolution Among Leftists:

The Spanish Civil War, the Russian revolution, anything of that nature.  Let’s do it.  Gimme like adventure and intrigue and revolutionary badassery
