I love Oprah, but PLEASE stop saying she should run for president (or any other celebrity for that matter). Her work is not in politics, even if she has been poking into the political world more over the years. She is a wonderful, and inspirational woman, but she is not a politician; We need to vote for people who’s entire goal, is to have a career centered on politics. People like Oprah have too much distraction from their prior careers. Our standards should be higher than celebrities who have vague understandings of the political world.

Please support people who are in your cities, towns and states, who have worked hard and had plenty of experience in politics. Vote for them. 

The mere fact that Trump was elected, someone who has no experience WHATSOEVER in politics, should have been the wakeup call that we should NEVER allow for someone so ill experienced, to get into office.

Let Oprah (and whomever else is possibly in the running) be your inspiration, but don’t let them become our next president. Celebrities are celebrities, not politicians.

I don’t particularly want Oprah as president either, however, I just want to point out that idea of the necessity of a class of politicians, separate from literally everybody else, is fucking sinister and this is why I’m a fucking libcom.
