Note that mother’s basement says protagonist, not hero or good guy. He means that the story is told from the perspective of Thanos, and that he’s the central character around who the narrative is structured

I think, I haven’t watched the video, but that is an argument I’ve seen. It’s not a moral statement, but one of narrative structure
