Very very few people lie about having been rape/sexually assaulted, however third parties are perfectly content to start rumors about other people’s sexual experiences and define them in ways the supposed victim insists are not the case, to the detriment of the person the rumors insist is a survivor… and I really don’t like that.

Why do blunt bangs make nearly any woman who gets them look cooler?  Not necessarily more attractive, but definitely like… more likely to have gone to art school and make really unlistenable electronic music that I’d say good things about to get laid?  And like 500% more likely to be involved with zines in some capacity when compared to women without blunt bangs?

Given the political climate, banning vampirism and castration fantasies from niteflirt may not seem like a big deal but it seems to me to be intimately linked with the gradual erosion of rights, and the increase in right wing censorship one would expect to see in Trump’s America.

Just wanted to point out that’s creepy, esp. in conjunction with the shutting down of backpage and just overall increased scrutiny and restriction in terms of free speech.

The inference I draw from the comparison to Fetlife’s Great Purge is that these aren’t even Moral Crusaders censoring things, but banks.  Like, we’re going to wind up in a repressive dystopia because Jack the hedge fund manager thinks our sex is creepy, and we were on the lookout for Franklin Graham instead.  Of course, the power of dominant industry to set social policy is pretty right-wing, too, but in a different way than what that term meant a couple decades back.

Nah Jack The Hedge Fund Manager thinks it’s hot and wants to stop himself from spending even more money on it because his wife’s gonna notice.

One of my friends had their educational erotic hypnosis group removed without warning from FetLife. When I did sex work I used sites far less reliable than Backpages so I can only guess at how much of a blow to the industry it was.
