Why do people seem to think that kinky = straight?

I mean ESPECIALLY given the history of the leather community (gay as fuck) that’s some exhausting fuckin’ discourse right there. Like in my experience, when you go into BDSM communities they’re fairly heavy on the LGBTQ quotient.  Where do these people get the idea that BDSM scenes are populated entirely by male dominants and female submissives being straight and consumeristic and blah blah blah.

Like I don’t think the way I fuck is revolutionary or like of important to the materialist analysis of systems of oppression all that much, but like fetishistic weird sex has LONG been a part of gay culture.

Brilliant BDSM scene ideas

-buereacracy play: you will need a wheeled service window, a variety of complex and difficult to fill out forms, numbered rooms, pens and a selection of glasses, wigs, fake moustaches etc. The dom sits behind the window and the sub is sent to a variety of rooms to retrieve and file various forms by the dom in various disguises. The scene ends when the sub successfully applies for a building permit in the city of Duluth and files the title for a combine harvester

– Goose play: you will need a strong fiberglass beak and a pair of wings made of a material suitable for giving beatings, along with a fake clump of reeds large enough for the dom to hide in. The sub approaches the reeds and then spends the rest of the scene being chased/pecked/whacked by the wings of the angry goose dom. The scene ends when the sub collapses in exhaustion

I really do not understand the whole BDSM as “Women being hurt” discourse.  Like are you uncomfortable with women in contact sports?  Because like… ffs.  The experience of BDSM is SO different from actual violence that I don’t understand how easily people conflate them.  Also like the idea that arousal somehow constitutes advocacy just EXHAUSTS ME

Why Is It That Every Attempt To Make BDSM Aesthetic

Must make it “Tasteful” or “Artistic” in an impulse towards luxurious anhedonia where none of the real grit of what makes it good shows through?

I mean, is it really so impossible to indulge in Lux and Ivy kitsch BDSM?  Is it impossible to lean into that aesthetically?  To revel in the John Waters camp of it all?

Fuck your black and white “tasteful” nude of a woman in a collar.

Gimme exploitation cinema and neon zebra print any day.

So I passed out briefly from a combination of over heating, dehydration due to screaming and sleep deprivation while playing Christ and had a vision of vast archways and crowds of people dressed in the clothing of all different eras

TOMORROW I FLY TO FUCKING CALIFORNIA AND GET TO DO WEIRD SEX STUFF WITH TWO, POSSIBLY THREE, INCREDIBLY PRETTY DUDES AND I AM PROFOUNDLY PLEASED ABOUT THIS.

(One of the dudes is my husband, obvs)

(also I get to do a fucked up roleplay where I literally get to play Christ)

(I am VERY pleased about this)
