and then there is editorial bias (lie by omission, so for example the fact that the mainstream news reports excessively on black on white crime, even though almost all crime is intraracial) and of course one can bias even true statistics for example one could say “there is a greater percentage of people living in poverty in the world than ever before” and “There are a smaller number of people living in poverty in the world than ever before” and both can be true (if population had declined significantly), but they support radically different ideologies.
