One of the reasons I think a feminism based in liberalism is doomed to fail is it’s entirely based on the good will of our oppressors, whereas with a leftist based feminism we have something to bargain with (I.e. You need a united working class for your liberation, thus your liberation is dependent on ours now stop being a sexist douche)

I Really Hate When Liberals Cry About How Commies Are “Just As Bad” As Fascists

Our ideology is “everybody deserves to eat, and workplaces should be run democratically by the people who work there for the common good”

Their ideology is literally “Mostly genocide… our policies aside from genocide are whatever’s convenient at the moment”

Also if you think antifa do it “because it feels good”.  Violence doesn’t fucking feel good.  Having to use violence means shit’s gone SUPERBLY pear shaped.  Having to use violence means people are in fucking danger.  I know antifa folks and not ONE of them likes doing it.  Not ONE of them regards it as fun.  To them it is a grim, depressing, scary duty that can get them killed or imprisoned.

And do you know why sometimes they make jokes or act light hearted about it?  BECAUSE IT IS FUCKING SCARY.  Soldiers make jokes in trenches.  People use humor to cope.  Yeah they celebrate their victories because it’s hard to keep up morale when you have to contend with the reality of the vileness, violence and hatred perpetrated by fucking fascists, when you’re the ONLY ones willing to seriously fight those fuckers.

I think a lot of times we think of equality as “you’re worthy of no more respect than we are” which is actually pretty shitty in comparison to “we are all worthy of just as much respect as you”

I quite like ideas of equality that say “I am up here with you” rather than “you are down here with me”. Like IDK I feel like addressing everyone in the way people used to address their “social inferiors” is less cool than granting everyone respect and honor, if that makes sense? Like IDK I feel like one of the best ways to destroy symbols of hierarchy is to grant them to everyone. If you call everyone “your majesty” it takes away the meaning of social dominance, also like… it says something better in a way because you’re saying like “I see the truth, which is that we are all just as worthy of dignity and respect as royalty” as opposed to “I see the truth, which is that royalty are just as shitty as we are” and IDK that kind of sucks because like we’re not shitty, also this way you’ve eliminated a term which could be used to indicate “this person is superior to the rest of us” because it comes to mean an equal, you know? Am I making sense?

(Also this is my argument for using using princess interchangeably with comrade)

Holodomor

I think Holodomor wasn’t an intentional policy so much as the result of bureaucratic error, organizational issues and informational bottlenecks and the fact that their systemic issues created the possibility of that situation is a much stronger indictment of their system than if they were just monsters, because like if it was just them being monsters, it lets you off with the idea that “this system could work if we had good people in charge” whereas if it was informational bottlenecks and organizational problems, then it indicates that the proposed system is unworkable even with the best of intentions

How did the right become the side that appeals to the libidinal? Like we’re the ones who’ve always been about sex for pleasure and making sure you get to eat tasty shit and say what you like.

How is it we’ve gotten the reputation of being the ones who want to guilt trip you for wanting a new TV when communism is the only system that could really deliver material plenty on a mass scale?

I mean isn’t censorious moralizing sort of what the right’s always actually done?

I blame the dour white contingent of the 60s new left.
