How To Make Almost Anything Better
Add more communists.
Dear tumblr
Stop recommending I follow fucking tankies
Y’ know I think some of the problems on the US left are caused by the touch starvation endemic in a culture that sexualizes all physical contact. I feel goddamn goofy saying it, but ya’ll need to hug more.
I’m terrible. I’ve betrayed the revolution and all my comrades. I don’t deserve post-capitalist post-scarcity life.
I’m Seeing Some Weird Critiques Of Fully Automated Luxury Communism
Most of which are “but without communism automation will be bad for workers!” and I’m like “…I thought the point was that we needed communism to stop automation destroying the lives of workers”
Also Like I Feel Like Even A Lot Of Leftists Don’t Realize What A Weird Parallel Dimension The Organized Left Is
Because of like… the way the state treats it.
Like infiltration, perversion of your own rhetoric, all sorts of weird shit you’d never encounter pretty much anywhere outside of the far left is actually pretty common here.
Shit that makes sense in the outside world cannot be trusted to continue making sense here. Fed jacketing, bad jacketing, propaganda, rumor mongering, subtle subtle devious fucking shit and it happens even in tiny organizations.
Also I Feel Like The Liberal Idea Of Delinquency
Gets applied to leftist forms of social justice way too often and people who do bad stuff are labelled as “just bad” and they need to be killed or imprisoned because they’re “monsters” and IDK I just find the idea that so many people, anyone who’s ever fucked up or done something problematic is irredeemable to be… really scary and bad.
People are redeemable. I don’t believe in prisons. If you believe in the possibility of social change without simply massacring anyone who holds a position of privilege, you have to believe in the possibility of redemption, of learning better.
I also think it’s really fucked how the people who admit their wrongdoings are the ones we jump down the throats of.
I just realized that academic english serves the same function as liturgical/academic latin served in medieval europe I think (I.E. a barrier to prevent mass access to information and to make fancy people look smart)
Found out I radicalized someone via facebook today
also that that person and I were facebook friends because of a forum about vampires we were on when we were both 14.
Three cheers for embarrassing vampire communism!
