Everyone looks better with makeup on (I probably just believe this because I have mild face blindness and emphasizing your features makes it easier for me to tell you apart from other people)

So I figured something out

I tend to get nervous/uncomfortable when partners want to change their hair, and I think it’s because of the fact that because I have mild face blindness, I use people’s hair as one of the key markers to identify them, it’s one of the things that helps me pick you out of a crowd, or recognize you in passing, and so to me it’s a little hard to deal with significant alterations to one of what to me is a really major signifier of who you are.

TBH I usually don’t like it when people I’m close to change their hair in general, it makes me nervous, probably again because it’s pretty similar to them having radical alterations to their face

It’s because I have facial recognition issues, and I’m super sorry. If we’ve talked before just say hi and I’ll probably recognize your voice, if I don’t know your voice just say hi and remind me who you are.

I really don’t mean to snub anyone and would probably be super happy to talk, but I have serious trouble recognizing people.
