Most of the time when people ask “why aren’t more women/poc in scene x”
It’s because a lot of people in the scene are dicks to them and making them feel unwelcome, you’ve gotta be welcoming.
Like even if you tend to make it high barrier of entry for white boys, it’s like women and poc and especially woc are used to leaving when they’re not wanted cause staying isn’t safe
Harsh Reality:
You only like and want to believe shit that sounds bad so that you can pat yourself on the back for being a tough, hard headed realist who isn’t swayed by silly feelings or whatever, and your obnoxious lack of empathy for other human beings means you’re going to remain alone and unloved until you stop shitting on other people, and realize how without empathy and altruism the vast and magnificent accomplishments of humanity are utterly impossible.
