(no literally that is me)
The problems of the sex industry are labor problems.
Trafficking is slave labor.
Exploitation is exploitation of labor.
Underage workers are child laborers.
Criminalization is a way of combating the possibility of organization and solidarity to keep wages low.
Police harassment of workers is just another way to keep a labor force subjugated
It is crucial to understand the issues of sex work as labor issues in order to have good solutions to them.

Here are my feelings on this:
Why are we always harkening back to the administrations that ended up purging all the commies and anarchists (who were the ones that actually made the thing go) and defanged unions leading to the bullshit of today? Like “Ah the good old days when we were just removing the internal structure that supported labor movements, but it hadn’t completely collapsed yet”
Strip clubs, shops, restaurants empty of workers, commerce halted and people unharmed
Me reading a book on the bread and roses strike: *weeps* it’s just so beautiful
Me listening to There Is Power In A Union: *sobs* Workers solidarity is so beautiful
Me contemplating local striking workers: *bawling on floor* solidarity comrades.
I’ve seen SO many people say “I need to pick my battles and I choose animal rights as my issue because animals don’t have a voice” but here’s the thing, you can’t say you support animal testing without sounding like a douchebag, public opinion is overwhelmingly negative, labor rights violations on the other hand…
Child labor:

Animal testing:

Labor Unions:

PETA:

Cruelty to animals:

Sweat shops:

We live in a culture that sentimentalizes animals and hates the working class.
