Also I Don’t Really Love “Sex shaming”

as a term for the behavior either because it’s actually got relatively little to do with actual sexual behavior (as studies mentioned previously show).  I mean it’s really more “enforcing codes of bourgeois femininity and maintaining class divisions through setting up working class and especially working class out-group women as deviant and hypersexual” but that’s kinda wordy.

Also Like “It’s Not My Job To Educate You” is great on an individual level

but not useful for an overall movement.

Cause like if you don’t tell people what you’re about your enemies will tell them for you and their version is gonna be inaccurate and shitty.

So like it’s not your job, but like if you wanna see tangible change, as a movement education is a really important facet of the work you need to do.

Also I’m more interested in pragmatic solutions than the most rage-y radical sounding rhetoric you can use.  As a survivor “Kill all rapists” ain’t doin’ shit for me cause A: You’re not actually gonna do it, motherfucker and B: That doesn’t address the systemic issues that cause rape in the first place.  It’s reactive rather than proactive.  Vengeance doesn’t cure PTSD.  Figure out a way to stop it before it happens.  You’re just saying that to sound radical without having to do actual work.

The Intersection Of Anti-Blackness and Classism

Is a thing where the forms of oppression (and I use classism not in the liberal sense, but as in the aggressive expression of class tensions created by capitalism) are so closely intertwined it’s often not even considered an intersection.

Like a lot of terms (I’m not going to use them because they are cruel words and it’s not my place) are racialized, but also intensely classed and often heavily gendered as well.  They’re used to describe proletarian black women’s forms of femininity and also I have to say those forms of femininity are badass (and of course the white bourgeoisie is appropriating them, but also it’s interesting and worth noting that black members of the bourgeoisie cannot adopt these signifiers because of how respectability works, which just goes to show how shitty everything is)

Working class black women are so important and we must protect them at all costs.

Also like if you’re a leftist in general or a US leftist in particular

You actually need to know about what the FBI did to the RCP/RU, because that shit was just… fuckin’ over the top.

Like they had informants in the organization from the time it had 20 members.  They were using sophisticated tactics to foment splits between them and other organizations and doing everything they could to create tensions and problems within the org.  They were even distributing subtly altered versions of their lit to discredit them.

They were doing nothing violent or illegal at the time.  The FBI showed sophisticated grasp of leftist rhetoric and ideology and was masterful at using that against them.

From what I understand, this is still happening and it’s scary.  I’m not a Maoist, but like their tactics were so unscrupulous and intense it’s like DAMN.
