solar on that scale (replacing all the cheap exploited labour) would require truly absurd levels of investment and create huge problems of energy distribution

Couldn’t we start by abolishing capitalism and not wasting labor as a society on useless nonsense like advertising and most customer service jobs, and then like do large scale investment in researching and making sustainable energy and solving problems of energy distro?

I mean like capitalism has major major inefficiency issues that could be rationalized and then we could do really cool stuff…

Like I feel like that’s something people would be excited to work on and want to do.

the main problem i have with falc is that the principles underpinning a lot of automation are ecologically and economically unsound insofar as they require absurd energy inputs and a lot of exploited labour

I always figured the idea was to push past those technologically, like with gigantic solar farms and the like… also wouldn’t it not require exploited labor if we weren’t y’ know, exploiting workers?

Like if manufacturing automated things was being done under communism, wouldn’t the workers control the means of production and have a choice and all, so like not be getting exploited?
