I want like a thing where a Miss Marple type character and a Philip Marlowe type character team up to solve mysteries

The Number Of Mystery Novels I Have Stopped Reading Because Of Irritating Anti-Communism

I Hate Real Cops So Much
And yet I love mystery novels.
Though why do they have to have such reactionary politics so much?
Why can’t there be like… ones about a post revolutionary society hunting down the last counter revolutionary capitalists?
Can someone suggest?
Cozy mystery novels that aren’t grotesquely pro-cop, ideally I’d like some kind of leftist detective exposing police incompetence and horribleness? The one I’m reading currently has a “heroic cop” who’s falsely accused of framing a student protester and eeeevil bleeding heart lefty professors. I want all the comfort of a nice convoluted mystery puzzle without the unbearable politics
Also positive depictions of gnc men.
I came out to have a good time and I’m just feeling so attacked right now.
Thinking About A Mystery Novel Set In The Modern American Left
Blurb would be something like:
Thea Weill knew all cops were bastards, but when a member of the unpopular Legally-non-actionable-Spartacist League-equivalent is found dead after disrupting an event put on by a coalition of other (better) organizations, she finds herself being reminded just what bastards they can be, and when they arrest one of her comrades on questionable and possibly falsified evidence, she takes it upon herself to solve the case

The Phryne Fisher Mystery Books Are Fun But Like
The way all the commies and anarchists in the series are like “It’s okay you’re an aristocrat and have servants Phryne, your servants are happy in servitude and you’re a good lady, and on an individual level you’re always helping people (by putting them in a subservient position to you) UWU” gets a little trying.
Lin Chung may be the most racist attempt not to be racist in the history of the world. Like the fetishizing there is just like… oh fuck, that’s intense. This is so uncomfortable, I keep having to skip bits where Phryne plays white savior.
Their portrayal of gay and gender non-conforming people often feels like Kerry Greenwood angling for progressive points, and is often just… less than ideal.
That said… they’re fun and they’re kind of trying? But like… oog
You know how there are detective novels for every possible theme, like there are weaving themed detective novels and vintage glassware collecting detective novels, is there a leftist detective series?
Please?
