I want to be part of a mass. I want like political education and strategic knowledge I can easily share, so that we can all be organizers, so that I’m not some top down specialist with specialized knowledge I don’t share. I don’t want to be a puppet master, I don’t want to tell people what’s best for them.

Like you’ve got to be one of the people you’re trying to organize. Like if you wimp out on doing your share of the work, or act like a whiny special snowflake, none of your coworkers are going to listen. You have to be their actual comrade, the kind of person they have a beer with, the kind of person they are, as a sex worker, I’d have a harder time trusting the chick who won’t shave because of principals to actually get it, to be on the ground in the sex industry in the same way I am. If she works specifically doing body hair fetish stuff, that’s different, but it’s like, if you think you’re somehow better than us because you can afford to make that choice… then it feels like you’re making judgements about our situation without actually being in it, and acting like you know better.
Met an escort at the talk about $pread the other day who’s involved with decriminalization work, and met a lawyer lady today who’s interested in filing complaints against police for sex workers.
I’m slooowly but surely building up my network of contacts to get this show on the road.
