Does anyone else ever wonder if their dog resents the fact that they have to do all the territory marking for the whole pack?

Like “I mean I love you guys, but why is it my job to do all the peeing?  Would it kill you to piss on a few trees here and there to make my life a little easier?”

I’m worried about my doggo

I think he might have been abused by a previous owner (he was found abandoned with another dog who resembles him and might be his sister or mom, seemingly well cared for but unneutered), he flinches when you approach him in certain ways, and got scared when I picked up my selfie stick, and startled when I stood up off the sofa.  He definitely seems a little anxious (which like first night in a new home, it’s normal to be anxious).  He’s suuuper obedient (except for “stay” at the top of the stairs, he just seems to really like running down stairs).   He’s a total cuddle bug and very clingy.

Overbreeding is a legit problem

The overbreeding of pets is something that legit bothers me. People who aren’t okay with eating animals are okay with breeding them to be so “cute” their eyes can fall out of their damned head or they can’t breathe or their digestion is compromised so they’re at vastly increased risk of bowel cancer, all to make them fit your idea of cute. Dogs shouldn’t be bred so they can’t run and jump and play to suit your aesthetic. Cats shouldn’t be bred to have no tails so they can’t jump properly. Doing that shit on purpose is messed up.
